![]() ![]() Btw, I bought the Switch Pro Controller specifically to play Hades on my MacBook Pro. I expect the console experience would be superior to what I am confronting on the laptop. If I had the money, I'd seriously purchase a Switch console, a flat screen TV, and Hades-for-Switch just to get away from all the craziness I experience while running the game (Hades) on top of a gaming platform (Steam) on top of an OS (MacOS). (Sometimes I am able to successfully restore my game, more often not, but that's besides the point and not my primary concern.) It's weird how I can have things set so I can play a few runs, then all goes wonko again and I'm back to fudging with the settings. I have gone through reinstalling and/or resetting Steam preferences _multiple times_ trying to get my controller to behave even as I am trying to avoid mashing the controller so that the unexpected and unfortunate failures do not occur. I've been re-playing the game in Hell mode with the express intention to improve my controller handling skills for all the various weapons. I enjoy Hades very much and completed the 2nd ending and all achievements short of Skelly's 2nd statue. ![]() My history with gaming goes back to the pre-arcade days, Arcade games, Apple ][. ![]() Setup: MacOS, MacBook Pro (non-M1), Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Also, Cast includes Dash for some weapons forcing Zagreus to move into the direction he is casting. When I come back, Zagreus is compelled to move in a single direction. TL DR: Despite my best attempts to avoid "button-mashing" I still manage to bork my Hades controller by accidentally switching away from the game app. ![]()
